 ABOUT US

ORAÏK came to life as a collaboration between Elvira Golombosi and Hector Lasso. Both artists are jewellers, each in a different but complementary way. With backgrounds in sculpture and stone carving, Elvira and Hector first crossed paths while completing their master’s studies in Jewellery and Gemstone Design in Germany.
Their nomadic spirit led them to the Balearic island of Ibiza.
There, surrounded by the open blue skies, rocky seashore and tranquil countryside, the couple pursues their vision of creating fine jewellery that is not only beautiful but also empowering.

INSPIRATION

Masks and costumes of indigenous tribes, mysterious prehistoric animals captured on the walls of caverns, archetypical symbols and images that transcend ages and cultures are the essential sources of inspiration for the ORAÏK jewellery collection. We are fascinated by ancient beliefs where jewellery was not a mere adornment, but a magical item endowed with supernatural powers.

WE LET OUR CREATIVE PROCESS TO BE DRIVEN BY INTUITION,
ALLOWING SHAPES AND MOTIVES TO EMERGE FROM THE REALM
OF DREAMS AND IMAGINATION.

CRAFT

PRESERVING THE ARTIST’S AUTHENTIC HANDWORK AND THE ORGANIC IRREGULARITIES OF THE MATERIALS CHARACTERISES THE SIGNATURE
STYLE OF ORAÏK JEWELLERY.

SPONTANEOUS YET LABORIOUS

Our creative process starts with sculpting the ring or bracelet in wax. We make several accompanying drawings, not to specify the exact form of the piece but rather to set the mood and character that we would like it to manifest.

ROUGHLY DELICATE

Later, the wax model is cast in gold or silver using the long-established technique of lost wax casting. The finalised jewellery piece is adorned with enamels and gems.
By combining the traditional techniques of goldsmiths with modern tools, we create a harmonic dialogue between ancient and contemporary craftsmanship.

CAREFULLY CHOSEN

As we recognise that precious metals and natural gemstones possess inimitable aesthetic and symbolic value, the use of natural materials is essential for ORAÏK. We put great care into selecting and sourcing the raw materials for our jewellery pieces.

LOCALLY MADE

ORAÏK jewellery is entirely handcrafted in our workshop. We do not outsource our production as we believe that personal presence is crucial for achieving individual expression and uniqueness in each jewellery piece.
