ORAÏK came to life as a collaboration between Elvira Golombosi and Hector Lasso. Elvira is the creator, the priestess of parallel worlds. Hector is the roots, the grounding rod that makes dreams possible. We are both artists and jewellers, each in a different but complementary way.
We believe in the metaphysical qualities of jewellery.
ORAÏK pieces are companions that support, enhance and empower the wearer.
We wish to share an idea of the world in which dreaming, dancing, singing, running through the dark night’s forest, swimming naked in the sea, and staring at the movement of the stars in the endless sky is a vital part of our lives.
Our fascination comes from the realm of dreams and imagination. It is an inexhaustible source of archetypical motives and images that transcend ages and cultures. We employ the unconscious as a visionary and creative force.
SPONTANEOUS YET LABORIOUS
Every ORAÏK piece is first sculpted by hand in wax. This technique enables us to authentically record the gesture of the maker.
Later on, the wax models are cast in metal and the stones are set. We put great care into every piece to achieve a unique and individual character. By combining the traditional techniques of goldsmiths with the tools of today, we create a harmonic dialogue between ancient and contemporary craftsmanship.
The use of natural materials are essential for ORAÏK . Precious metals and natural gemstones possess inimitable aesthetic and symbolic value and, they are endowed with mysterious powers.
